Not technically a beach, more a collection of jutting rocks and plateaus, Punta Galera is a haven for hardcore sun worshipers. With no trees for shade, no facilities to speak of and a fairly perilous approaching walk, Punta Galera is certainly not for the faint at heart.
Its raw, natural beauty and fantastic views reward those who make the trek. The indigo, clear water is ideal for snorkeling and swimming, and for the more daring, there are excellent high jumping spots. But be forewarned: the water is deep and you have to clamber up some rocks to get back to shore.
Hours while away here, so come prepared with picnic equipment, and, at the very least, plenty of water.
